Passionate about open water swimming, I performed a series of swims respecting the rules of marathon swimming, some in competitions organized by specialized associations, others self- organized.
In Romania I have performed in national premiere, according to the rules of marathon swimming, swimming the full length of lakes Belis, Vidraru * 2, Bicaz, Razelm. And in 2021, I set a new national endurance record, being the first Romanian to swim 120 kilometers between towns of Bazias and Orsova, on the entire Danube gorge, in a continuous effort of almost 29 hours.
Internationally, I participated in 5 prestigious competitions, held in some of the most varied and difficult places, such as the "Ice Sea" in the Dutch championship, in the Aegean Sea or in the Indian Ocean.
I have contributed to the formation of numerous teams of assistants and observers for the documentation of swimming, according to the established rules of marathon swimming; own swimming or that of other Romanian athletes, such as Avram IANCU - in his 103.8 km adventure on the Danube, between Pojejena and the Iron Gates.
I have been the observer for the swimmer Andrei DAVID, in his double crossing of Vidraru Lake, 20.4 km.
I had the honor to contribute to all seven swims in Romania, ratified or under ratification of the prestigious authority Marathon Swimmers Federation, (MSF) USA.
For International contribution, in this sport, in 2021 I was included in MSF Team, in the Documented Swims Review & Ratification Group, where I verify the veracity and quality of the documentation submitted by all swimmers, and express my opinion on whether or not the documentation meets the conditions for ratification of the MSF.
From other disciplines, as amateur, I ran 3 marathons and performed in 4 Ironman 70.3 events, in addition to the "marathon of life".
My purpose is to contribute to the development of the community of swimming practitioners, on any distance and in any sport, whether it is triathlon, aquathlon, amateur swimming, masters, in the pool or in open water, short distances or ultra, in neoprene or according to the rules MSF.
